So I asked my IG followers what are their best tips to learn Thai.
Here are their answers.
Get A Thai Girlfriend
Have you ever thought about getting a Thai girlfriend or boyfriend to boost your language skills?
Some people do!
This was the most popular answer.
By far!
And of course, it’s always a good option.
It’s the best way to practice Thai every day.
That and working with Thai people.
Of course, not everyone wants to have a Thai girlfriend or boyfriend.
But seeing someone who speaks Thai every day and being “forced” to listen and practice the language every day is the key to learning Thai fast.
Now if you’re not ready to commit to a single person, as another friend suggested, you can always get a sex friend.
You will just learn a different vocabulary. 😄
Now whether you’re looking for your future Thai girlfriend or boyfriend, or just want something casual, you can find what you’re looking for on dating apps.
Go To A Thai Language School
Someone else suggested going to a Thai language school.
If you have the time, that’s definitely the best option to learn Thai fast.
Sign up for a Thai school, and for a year or 2 you’re gonna have to practice Thai a few times a week.
It's also a popular option to have a visa to stay long-term in Thailand.
The hardest part is to find the right school.
One that has a good reputation, good teachers, and where you’re actually going to learn something useful.
I plan to do some research on what the best Thai language schools in Bangkok are, but from what I heard over the years, Duke Language School is the best.
Their courses are intense, so you really need to commit and it’s not going to be easy.
But they have a high success rate. 👍
Get A Private Thai Teacher
If you don’t need a student visa and/or don’t want to attend a group class, you can always get a private Thai teacher.
At least you can focus on what you want to learn in Thai, learn at your own pace, on your own schedule, and even do it online if you prefer.
You can find private Thai teachers for only 200 or 300 THB per hour, all the way to 1,000 THB per hour and more.
