With its Tinder like design and features, it's actually the best alternative to big international dating apps for those who want to meet single Thai girls and guys. And those who want an option to screen ladyboys.
Because yes, unlike Tinder, not only ThaiMatch separate girls and ladyboys, but it also has an option to hide your profile from ladyboys.
The only downside to ThaiMatch is its limit of 1 message every 10 minutes with a free account. If you want more than that (and you probably will), you need to upgrade to a Premium or VIP account.
But except that, ThaiMatch is a lot of fun, easy to use, and free.

What's Special About ThaiMatch?
ThaiMatch isn't yet as popular as ThaiFriendly or AsianCupid, so if you're looking for quantity over quality, try one of those 2 instead.
But ThaiMatch is way easier to use, has a better design, and enough features accessible on the free version to land a date without spending a single baht.
And, probably because it's similar to Tinder, it has a lot of young users. Including a ton of sexy young Thai girls from all over Thailand.

I like when apps make it easy to sign up, and that's definitely the case here.
You can sign up on ThaiMatch with your Facebook or Google account, or use your email.
Then all you need to do is fill in a short form where they ask more about you and what you're looking for on the app.
Once you've confirmed your email, your account may get suspended right after you created it. It happened to me.
Nothing to worry about, it seems to be kind of normal. Every time the app suspects someone is a bot, it blocks the account.
To unlock it, all you have to do is send them a picture of you doing a sign. Then your account gets unlocked after a few hours.
A bit annoying. But if that helps them manage to keep a low amount of scam and spam on the app, I'll take it.
Create Your Profile
In my opinion, ThaiMatch profiles have just the right amount of details.
Some dating apps ask more questions than your government, while other only lets you add a short description.
I'm not a fan of both.
At least, on ThaiMatch you can describe a bit who you are, what you look like, and what you're looking for.
For that you need to add your:
- Age
- City
- Country
- Heigh
- Weight
- Sexuality (straight, gay, lesbian, or bi-sexual)
- Type of relation you're looking for
- The age range of people you're interested in
- If you're looking for girls, guys, or ladyboys
And you can upload up to 3 photos.
Here's my profile to give you an example.
In total, it only takes a few minutes to get set up, and hopefully, it can save you from wasting a ton of time answering the same questions over and over again.
Oh, and if you want, you can choose to hide your profile from ladyboys.
That's the first time I see something like that, and I actually like it.
Anyone who's been dating in Thailand knows you often receive messages from hot girls on those dating apps. Then after chatting for a while, you realize they're ladyboys.
Cool if that's what you're into. But it quickly get annoying if you're straight as an arrow.
Anyway, now that your profile is complete, let's have some fun.
Find a Date on ThaiMatch
ThaiMatch claims almost 500,000 users, so clearly, there are enough singles on the app to keep you busy for a while.
ThaiMatch makes it simple to find Thai girls and guys on the app. It gives you 2 options to browse all the profiles available.
You can go on the homepage, use the filters, and start going through all the girls' profiles.
There are not that many filters you can use for that, but all the essentials are there.
You can search by:
- Gender (man, woman, ladyboy)
- Age
- Country
- City
And chose to see only profiles that:
- Have photos
- Are online now
- Match with what you're looking for
Then you can start to explore the results and like or message the girls you like.
If that's not enough for you and you want more detailed profiles and more filters to find your future Thai wife, then try ThaiCupid instead.
But for most people, especially those looking for something casual, that's more than enough.
And I like the fact that for free, you can find girls in a different city. Where in Tinder, you need to pay for that option.
Now, the second option to find girls you like on ThaiMatch is what they call "Matching".
That's pretty much the same as every other dating app available now.
They show you a single profile, and you choose to like it, hide it, see her profile, or message her.
And yes, you can message a girl right away on ThaiMatch. You don't need to wait until you both match together.
Chat
Messaging is where you get to the limit of what you can do for free on ThaiMatch.
The Thai dating app has a limit of (only) 1 free message every 10 minutes.
So it will take you a while to arrange a date if you decide to stay on the free version. The best option is to ask for her line ID right away, or to pay for a premium account (details below).
But except that limit, ThaiMatch chat is easy to use and quite fast, both on the website and on the app.

Both have good reviews on the App Store, even though a few people complain the app is being slow on Android.

I signed up 5 days ago. they asked for a picture to verify my identity. “which is fine”. they said it would be a few hours to verify my account. so 5 days later, im still locked out. you charge by the month? so 1/4 of the fees you charge is in a lock out time? either refund my money or unlock my account. there is no customer service in this application.
