New Designs for my Social Media and Blog Posts

Earlier this year I decided 2020 would be the year I turn blogging into my full-time job and really start my journey to establish Mojomatt's brand.

Part of it includes making Mojomatt blog and social media look more professional, consistent across the board, and advertiser-friendly.

So I've asked my girlfriend who just launched her social media design services to help me create new designs for Mojomatt.

Here's what we came up with.

Why new designs ?

Until now, all my posts on social media featured images for these blog posts and everything else I shared online was made with Canva.

I love it, it's a great tool and you can do a lot with it.

But I suck at design.

Between blog posts, photos, videos, and managing social media, I already have enough on my plate and I don't want to take some time to learn how to do better designs. (at least for now)

On the other side, I need to have designs that people recognize, that is easy to duplicate and modify for every new idea I have, and most importantly, I want it to look better to attract brands.

So I knew I needed some help to create new designs for my future blog posts, social media posts, and update my social media covers.

Blog Post Featured Image and Pinterest image

Let's start with the blog post featured images.

That's the image that shows up in the blog with the title of the post but also the one that appears on social media when you share the post.

So it's really important people can recognize them so they know the post is coming from you when they scroll on social media.

That's why we created something clean and effective, using the same color as the blog and the logo.

These designs are also super easy to duplicate and change with the new blog post title and image for future posts.

We also made a different version that is similar but in portrait mode to add at the bottom of the post so people can easily pin it on Pinterest.

Social Media Covers

We created a new cover image for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Youtube.

Again it's a simple design but it reinforces the connection between my face and Mojomatt's logo.

So it doesn't matter where people discover me, it will be easy for them to recognize the logo or my face if they see it again.

Social Media Posts

For social media posts, we made 3 types of designs with different dimensions for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin.

I'm not sure yet what I'll use them for, probably quotes or simple ideas I want to share.

Again, the idea was to get something clean, different, and recognizable to post across all social media.

I hope you like the new designs

The idea was simple, create clean designs that people associate with Mojomatt.

Something they can identify in seconds when they scroll and that catch their attention.

I don't know yet how much impact it will have to help the brand grow but it does look more professional.

All the designs were created by my girlfriend Mathilde (that some of you know as Alice) who just launched her social media agency.

She does designs and content like the ones above for every social media (Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Pinterest, Linkedin...).

And she also does social media management so if you don't have time to create content and share it with your community, she can take care of it for you.

You can see more about her work and services on her website

That's it.

I hope you like the new designs as you're gonna see a lot of them from now on.

Let me know what you think below and if you got any questions about the brand strategy I have for Mojomatt, why we picked these designs, or about Alice's agency, ask us in the comments.
