S2O Songkran Bangkok
S2O Songkran is the biggest music festival in Bangkok during Songkran!
There are over 10,000 people, hundreds of Thai bikini models and net idols, the biggest DJs in the world, and water cannons spraying everyone.
They always have an incredible lineup with major DJs like Nicky Romero, Tiesto, or Sebastian Ingrosso and many more.
And the atmosphere is just incredible.
This is the music festival during Songkran you can’t miss!
Imagine celebrating New Year's Eve in style in Thailand with neon paint and some of the biggest names in the EDM scene.
Thousands of people put on their sexy outfits and go dancing for 3 days in Bangkok to say goodbye to this year and welcome the new one.
Neon Countdown is the most unique and unforgettable event to celebrate NYE in Bangkok for me.
Will you agree?
808 Festival is the best festival in Bangkok for EDM lovers!
They consistently bring the top DJs in the world.
In 2023, the festival is headlined by none else than David Guetta, Marshmallow, Morten, and Timmy Trumpet.
Just to name a few.
Talk about a lineup!
And the production is amazing with some of the best light and laser effects you’ll see in your life.
Waterzonic is another crazy EDM music festival in Bangkok.
This one is great if you missed S2O Songkran as it’s all about water fights and cannons, like S2O, but at the end of the rainy season.
Usually in October.
One heads-up about Waterzonic – the water cannons are seriously intense!
I don’t mind getting wet, but they’re pushing it too far and for me it was killing the vibe when we were too close to the stage.
So if you go there, I’d recommend to grab a VIP ticket to watch the show from the dry zone.
Get lost in Khao Yai for 4 days to the sound of the best DJs in Thailand.
Mystic Valley is a unique music festival where each one of the biggest event promoters in Thailand has a stage.
You’ll find famous pool parties and event organizers like Mad Stash (House, Deep House), Epic Entertainment (EDM, House), Urban Music Bar (Hip-hop), and many others.
This one is a unique experience I recommend to everyone.
Wonderfruit is the biggest and most unique music festival in Thailand.
This festival is about way more than music.
It’s about art, well-being, spiritism, culture, ecology, yoga, and a hundred other things.
That’s where all the functional degenerate of Asia and beyond meet to connect with like-minded people and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Add Wonderfruit to your bucket list if you haven’t done it yet.
Full Moon Party
Picture 10,000 to 30,000 people, in swimwear, covered with neon paint, drinking and dancing all night until sunrise on a beautiful beach in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand
The small gathering that started with a couple of people in the 1980s in Haad Rin beach on Koh Phangan is now one of the biggest and most iconic events in Asia.
So much so that I have to insist, you have to try it at least once in your life!
Don’t listen to what people say about it, just experience it for yourself.
And don’t forget to book your hotel way in advance, the island gets packed during the event.
I’ve recommended a few places and wrote a full guide for the event in the post below.
Unless you live under a rock, you most definitely heard of Thailand’s world famous Full Moon Party. It’s one of the biggest and oldest beach parties in Thailand, with over […]
Half Moon Party
The sister festival of the Full Moon Party is a psy and trance music taking place in the jungle in the middle of Koh Phangan island.
This festival is more like a rave.
The Half Moon Festival is an event out of this world that transcends music.
It’s an experience, with an incredible stage, decor, and a unique ambiance that is unlike any other festival on this list.
There is also a community aspect to it and it’s highly likely you’ll make lifelong friends there.
I have a lot of friends who keep going back to it every year, and to be honest, I wish I would too.
Tips For Music Festivals in Thailand
All of the music festivals are super popular and you have people coming from all over Asia and the world for the occasion.
That’s why most festivals sold out in weeks and sometimes days.
Also, almost every music festival has early bird sales.
So you can save up to 2,000 THB on each ticket if you buy early.
Book A Hotel Nearby
The traffic can be very bad in Thailand, especially for big events.
Book a place on Booking.com or Airbnb that is close to the event.
Or check the festival’s website for special deals on nearby accommodation.
And if you have a large group of people, book your own private minivan or taxi to go to and from the event.
