I came across 12Go Asia went I first visited Thailand in 2012 and I've been using their website to book my tickets for all my trips in and around Thailand since.
In a time when we do everything online, it's good to have a reliable website where you can book all tickets and plan your trip online, at a good price, and in just a few minutes.
Buses, ferries, vans, transfers, trains, and even flights now, they have almost every type of transports that exists for a lot of different routes in Thailand, and in over 150 countries.
Overall, 12go is really easy to use, you can book everything from the same platform and most importantly, keep all your bookings and tickets in the same place.
So in short, yes, 12go Asia is great, it's safe, as legit as it comes and they have good prices.
You don't even need to read the entire review, just book your tickets here. 👇
But if you're not convinced yet, it's fine, let me tell you more about 12Go Asia.

Why Book your Tickets Online on 12Go?
Over the last years, I've been trying to use a minimalist approach to travel and use as few apps/websites/agencies as possible when I plan my trips.
That's the main reason I've booked most of my trips in Thailand with 12 Go Asia.
This way, I have all my tickets in one place and I don't have to deal with different agencies and operators.
But there are more reasons to use 12go for your trip :
- It's convenient. No need to go to a travel agency anymore, you book everything online from your phone.
- No need to bargain. With 12 go you can see in seconds all the different options for a route and pick the one that fits your budget and schedule.
- No need to print tickets. Even if the website recommends that you print your tickets, I haven't printed any tickets for the trips I booked on 12Go Asia. I just show the receipt on my phone and it always works. This way you don't lose your tickets, you don't need to look for a printer in a city you don't know, and it's eco friendly.
- All your bookings on one platform. Imagine if you need to book 10 transfers during your trip in Thailand and you have 4 people with you. That's 50 different tickets you have to print and carry with you. Forget that! Book everything on 12Go website and save yourself some headaches.
Not saying that 12goasia is the best travel app, but if, like me, your priority is price and convenience, it's right at the top.
You can also use their website for pretty much all your trips in Asia as they cover all the principal routes in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, and more.
Everywhere I go, whether I need to book a bus, a van, a ferry, or a transfer, I always use their app. (Except for flights where I prefer to go with Air Asia directly to accumulate more BIG rewards).
12Go Countries and Routes
I was talking about convenience, and what's more convenient than to use the same platform to book tickets online for your trip all around Asia and beyond.

Types of Transportation Available
What makes 12Go Asia better than the competition?
The option to find all the different types of transportation for a same route on the same website.
Remember the days when you had to go to each company's website to compare timetables and prices? I do.
And I'm super glad these days are over.
With 12go, I like you can compare all the options for a trip and pick one in just minutes.
What types of transportation do you find on 12Go?
- Buses
- Trains
- Ferries
- Flights
- Vans
- Taxis
- Airport transfers
- and more...
Not only you can compare them all on the same page, but you can also compare the trip duration and timetables between them.
That's how sometimes you realize it's cheaper to take a flight and a taxi than a ferry and a van.
They even have deals on some trips that make it cheaper to book the whole trip through them than to buy separate tickets.
But you're probably gonna say, "12Go take a commission on every booking, right? So they must be more expensive than booking directly with the company?"
Well, not really. At least, not all the time.
Like when you book hotels on Booking.com or Agoda, they have so much leverage that prices are as good, and even sometimes cheaper.
Prices
What about the prices? Is 12Go cheaper than travel agencies or tour operators?
In general, 12Go Asia prices are pretty competitive and they tend to be similar or cheaper than local travel agencies.
But not always.
Truth is, for some trips they don't have the cheapest options. It's often the case with local trains or buses in Thailand.
For example, from Bangkok to Hua Hin, they don't have the cheapest train tickets. You need to go to Bangkok train station to book the cheapest ones available.
And I have more examples like this.
So if you're traveling on a (really) tight budget, you might want to go to local agencies and try to find cheaper tickets. At least in Thailand.
But it also takes time, energy, and money to go to the different travel agencies and bargain.
So if like me you prefer convenience over the cheapest rates, 12Go Asia is for you.
And at the end of the day, even if you decide to go with local travel agencies, compare prices on 12Go Asia anyway.
Just to make sure you're getting the best deal available.
12Go On The Go
12Go doesn't have a mobile app yet, unfortunately.
But to be honest, their website is responsive and really light so you can usually make your bookings even with a bad internet connection.
I've booked a lot of my tickets from the middle of nowhere and always managed to get the job done.
A 12Go app would be great, especially to manage your bookings, but it works fine without too.
Bookings
Booking tickets on 12Go website is really easy and fast.
That's my favorite thing about their website. It's clean, fast to load, and it makes it easy to compare and book tickets when you travel.
Even when you're in the middle of nowhere, with the slowest wifi you can get, you can always manage to complete your booking.

Contact and Customer Support
To be completely honest, I never had to contact 12go Asia support or ask for a refund so I can't really say what it's worth.
If you do a quick search online on other 12go Asia reviews, most people seem to have a generally good experience (hence their 4.2 stars rating on Trustpilot) and they do issue refunds when they're in the wrong.
But in case you need to contact them :
- Go to the website and press the "Call us online" button. The support is free of charge and can be reached every day from 10 am to 8 pm (Bangkok time)
There's no number where you can call them. You need to go through the website.
But they also have a few offices in Thailand. More details about their offices and locations here.
FAQ
Yes. I've booked close to a hundred trips with 12Go Asia, and it always went well. When you look at reviews, the large majority of customers are happy with their services and the support is there in case you need help.
Based on the size of the company and all the positive reviews, I would say 12Go is pretty legit. I would imagine you can't be as big and spread in that many countries unless you're doing something good.
Thanks for reading my review of 12go Asia all the way til the end.

And let me know what you think about 12Go in the comments and if you still have any questions about it, feel free to ask anything below and I'll answer what I can when I'm sober.
Full of scammera dont waste your money here and even caught lying and deceiving they keep lying more. I travelled whole world never had such ridiculous bullshit as with 12go asia. I am even sure they pay or own this website its not independent
Hey Grimm, can you share what happened? Did you contact their support?
As you can see they don’t own the website or your comment would have never been published. 😉
I do get commission when people book through us though, but the review is 100 genuine.
Been traveling in Thailand for over 10 years now, always used them to book my tickets and I never had a single bad experience so I’m curious to hear what happened to you and I’ll forward your complaint to them.
We will never use this web. First they charge 50% over the price. Second they dont let you change anything after booking although our hotel got it changed by one phone call. Very bad custemer service.
Totally fake review. A bus ticket from CM to Pai cost 150 but 12go charge 240. That’s almost 100%. It’s okay to do affiliate blog but lying isn’t.
What do you think is fake about the review? I mention they often don’t have the cheapest tickets. And I acknowledge they’re often more expensive than buying tickets on the spot. But they don’t force you to buy their tickets, you can buy them somewhere else if you find them cheaper. But for most routes, their price is pretty competitive (I’ve used them for 10 years and bought hundreds of tickets with them).
Hello,
I have used 12 to go to book several ferries in Thailand. It was super smooth !!
When I first saw the comments in here I was doubtful.. but honestly, super easy and reliable for the 3 ferries I booked this March / May 2023.
All the best,
Renato
